Sean Dyche criticised refereeing decisions in the Merseyside derby after the Toffees lost 2-0 to Liverpool to a Salah brace. The Everton manager said he felt the officials' decisions went against his side.
The England coach was unhappy that the referee did not send Konate off for a second yellow card. "Their manager took him off the pitch straight away. Everyone in the stadium knew it was a red card," Dyche told TNT Sports.
“The problem is how do you judge that? Their player does not get booked for a similar foul and Young was booked twice for the same thing. I was given a yellow card for asking a question on it," Said the Everton manager on Ashley Young's dismissal.
Everton held on with the equaliser until Keane's handball inside the area was pointed out by the referee, which led to Liverpool's penalty goal. "They get a goal from a penalty: they are tough ones now, it's a loose arm. I preferred the rule how it was when it had to be a deliberate act of handball, that's not a deliberate act. But they've all changed it and we know the rule is. But the fact is at 0-0, how they have got 11 on the pitch is just incredible," added Dyche.
Meanwhile, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp said he understood Sean Dyche's complaints about Konate's red card, but said they will learn to get over it. "Of course I understand it. When we were on the other side, we have to accept that, so it's really hard to do that in the first moment. But with time, you get over it, I can tell you," said Klopp to TNT Sport.
