Feyenoord make Dutch Cup quarters after eight goal thriller
After a thrilling cup tie between Feyenoord and NEC Nijmegen in the last 16 of the Dutch Cup, Feyenoord won 5-3 on penalties. The score was 2-2 after 90 minutes and 4-4 after extra-time. Santiago Gimenez scored one of Feyenoord's goals.

In the last 16 of the Dutch Cup, Feyenoord defeated NEC Nijmegen on penalties after a thrilling 4-4 draw after 120 minutes.
Calvin Verdonk and Pedro Marques put NEC 0-2 up and it looked like the team from Rotterdam were going to be eliminated.
However, in the 89th minute, Philippe Sandler conceded a penalty and NEC were reduced to 10 men. Orkun Kokcu converted the spot kick and then Igor Paixao levelled in stoppage time to force extra-time.
In extra-time, Jordy Bruijn put NEC Nijmegen back in front, but Santiago Gimenez and Javairo Dilrosun then scored for 11 men Feyenoord to give them a 4-3 lead with four minutes remaining.
As Feyenoord were about to celebrate victory, Bruijn struck again in the 118th minute to make it 4-4 and the match went to a penalty shootout.
Feyenoord went first and the first seven penalties were all scored before Ilias Bronkhorst missed NEC's fourth spot kick. Feyenoord scored their fifth and went through to the last eight.
That means Feyenoord join Utrecht, De Graafschap, Heerenveeen, PSV and Spakenburg in the quarter-finals. The last two round of 16 games will take place on Thursday as Twente play Ajax and ADO den Haag entertain Go Ahead Eagles.
