Flat England top Group C despite Slovenia draw

England once again raised doubts with a poor performance against Slovenia, with both teams playing out one of the dullest draws of Euro 2024 so far. However, Gareth Southgate's side top Group D with 5 points and qualify for the last 16 as group winners, while Slovenia are likely to be one of the teams that qualify as one of the best third-placed sides. England thought they had taken the lead when Saka finished off a great team move but the goal was disallowed for offside by Phil Foden. England improved in the second half but the solidity of Slovenia's low block prevented them from breaking the deadlock.
