Hansi Flick has Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah on his radar to reinforce Barcelona's defence next season. The defender's contract expires on 30 June and he has already stated that he has no intention of renewing his contract with Bayer Leverkusen.
Once these declarations were made, it didn't take long for him to be approached by other suitors, with Bayer Munich being one of the most talked about.
According to ‘Bild’ Barca and Bayern are the options that the player is considering as according to information coming from Germany the player has rejected proposals from Juventus and Inter as his intention is not to play in Serie A.
Real Madrid given their injury list in defence were also interested in signing the player for the January transfer window but were unwilling to pay a transfer fee of 10 million euros when he will be a free agent in June.
According to reports from ‘Sport’ Flick is pushing Barca to make the move as he sees him as a great opportunity as a free agent and feels he would fit into the team's game.
The Azulgranas have the centre-back position well covered with Christensen, Araujo, Eric Garcia and even Kounde but with injury problems this season and a possible exit in the summer they would be keen to bring him in.
