Frenchman Florian Thauvin signed on Friday as Udinese's new player for the remainder of the season and two more, until 30th June 2025.
"A world champion is now black and white. Florian Thauvin is a new Udinese player. The French striker has signed a contract until 30 June 2025," the Italian club said in a statement.
The striker arrives as a free agent from Mexican club Tigres, although he has spent most of his career at Olympique Marseille on loan from Newcastle, who landed him in 2015.
Thauvin arrives at Udinese at a key moment for Italian coach Andrea Sottil's side, who have lost Spaniard Gerard Deulofeu almost certainly for the remainder of the season with a knee injury that will require surgery.
