FC Barcelona have been trying to reinforce their midfield for several transfer windows, especially after the departure of Sergio Busquets in 2023. The favourite was Joshua Kimmich but, due to the high cost of the operation, FC Barcelona ruled him out. According to ‘Sport’, the ‘Cules’ club have added a name to their list that had already been mentioned before: N'Golo Kante.

Al Ittihad player N'Golo Kante is back on FC Barcelona's radar, according to ‘Sport’. The Catalan side want to strengthen their midfield and are looking for affordable options in terms of price to do so.
The Catalan side have their sights set on securing the Frenchman's loan move, as he is the cheapest option. The possible arrivals of Nico Williams and Dani Olmo are a priority and, for that reason, they do not want to do anything crazy for a midfielder.
Al Ittihad will not make it easy and, if not, just tell that to West Ham United, who were interested in the former Chelsea player and only received negative responses. Furthermore, giving the player on loan doesn't seem to be something the Saudis are willing to do either.
Joshua Kimmich was the favourite of the ‘Cule’ board to fill the position vacated by Sergio Busquets, but the high cost of the operation forced the club to rule him out. It should also be borne in mind that the Teutonic player's contract with Bayern expires in 2025 and he could join the Catalan side without paying a transfer fee.
