Full-back and striker: Arsenal's January transfer priorities

Arsenal are in third place in the Premier League level on 27 points with Liverpool, who are in second place. The Gunners' race for the domestic title continues into the 2023/24 campaign.
However, Mikel Arteta's squad has been hit by injuries and a lack of goals at the start of the season. Jurrien Timber, who arrived at the Emirates Stadium from Ajax in the summer transfer window, is ruled out with an injury sustained in the opening game of the term.
Arsenal are short of options in defence as Kieran Tierney has been loaned out for the season. As a result, the Spanish coach can only count on Ben White, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Oleksandr Zinchenko.
Furthermore, they are having trouble scoring goals. Brazilian forward Gabriel Jesus has only scored once in the Premier League this season. For this reason, Arteta wants to sign a striker in the winter transfer window to bolster his attack.
