Barcelona midfielder Pablo Paez Gavira 'Gavi' continues with the recovery process from his serious knee injury, and on Wednesday he exercised alone on the pitch of the Ciudad Deportiva Joan Gamper.
With the club season now over, the Barca midfielder continues to work hard on his preparation for the next season, although he will not be medically cleared and therefore will not be able to start at the same pace as his team-mates.
The player from Los Palacios suffered a serious injury on 19 November against Georgia, in what was the last game of the qualifiers for a European Championship that will kick off in a few hours.
He was then diagnosed with a complete tear of the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and an associated injury to the external lateral meniscus.
In some images released by the Catalan club, Gavi can be seen exercising at a good pace, still without the ball, although performing different running exercises and making constant changes of pace and direction, between the cones that are usually used in training, to test the state of his knee.
In any case, the club does not want to take any kind of risk with the 19-year-old player, and will not rush his return to the group under any circumstances.
