According to EFE, Thibaut Courtois' injury is not serious, as he is suffering from a muscle problem in his left abductor. Although everything points to the fact that he will not travel to Morocco, the Belgian goalkeeper could still play in a hypothetical final.

Real Madrid's Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois underwent an ultrasound scan on Monday which confirmed that he has a muscle problem in his left abductor, the exact extent of which will be known on Tuesday with an MRI scan, and will not play in the Club World Cup semi-final, although he remains hopeful of reaching Saturday's final in time if the 'Merengues' qualify.
Real Madrid head into Wednesday's semi-final against Al Ahly without Courtois in goal. The Belgian joins Eder Militao, Ferland Mendy, Lucas Vazquez and Karim Benzema in the squad.
The club's doctors carried out an ultrasound scan on Monday morning at the Valdebebas trainingcomplex in order to get an indicative assessment, Real Madrid sources told 'EFE'. They must wait a few more hours for the inflammation to go down in the damaged area and confirm the exact extent of the injury with an MRI scan.
Courtois felt a twinge in the warm-up at Son Moix, before the start of the game against Mallorca, when he hit a long ball. He was unable to take part in the game and is ruled out of Wednesday's game against Al Ahly.
As Militao and Benzema's case, Real Madrid are hopeful that they will be able to join the training camp in Rabat during the week. For the moment, only Mendy and Lucas Vazquez are ruled out for a hypothetical final, and they will continue with their respective recoveries throughout the week in Madrid.
