Mason Greenwood has only registered on cap for the England national team - picked up in 2020 - though the striker now fancies his chances for a comeback following the appointment of Thomas Tuchel as Gareth Southgate's permanent successor. The former Chelsea boos will lead England until the end of the 2026 World Cup.
According to 'the 'Mirror', the 23-year-old hopes that the change of regime could allow him a fresh slate with the Three Lions. He awaits talks with the German international over a potential return as he looks to feature in the upcoming the World Cup.
That said, Greenwood is aware of his slim chances at making the cut and has already worked up a back-up should the Three Lions door not open for him. The Marseille man will reportedly switch allegiance and play for Jamaica, as told by the 'Mirror'.
As per the same report, “Mason wants to check with the FA and Tuchel now that he has been appointed, to see what they think. He is determined to play at the highest level and that means the World Cup. So if England don’t want him, he’ll switch to Jamaica and try and get to the 2026 World Cup that way.”
