Guardiola on UEFA Super Cup triumph: "No alcohol this time"
Pep Guardiola said he’s relly pleased to win one more title with Manchester City after beating Sevilla in the UEFA Supercup, but knows there’s not too much time to celebrate as Premier League action demands the team to be ready to go again as soon as possible.

Manchester City won the UEFA Super Cup for the first time on Wednesday but needed penalties to beat Sevilla after a 1-1 draw in Athens. The Sky Blues are on an incredible run after last season's Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League treble.
However, the English side will not be able to celebrate as they would like as they face Newcastle in the Premier League on Saturday. Spanish coach Pep Guardiola banned his players from drinking alcohol and took a dig at England's top flight.
"Not one drop of alcohol today. Recover as much as possible because again from Greece, thank you so much to the Premier League to let us play on Saturday not on Sunday or Monday. Thank you so much," he told reporters.
The 52-year-old slammed the Premier League for only giving his men two days to recover. Nonetheless, Guardiola was "pleased" to have won the first European title of the 2023/24 season.
"I am really pleased for the club - this title we didn't have and now we have it. A tight game like this happened in the [Champions League] final against Inter. We also lost a tight game in the last minute against Arsenal [in the Community Shield]. Football in these stages, in that moment, is a coin [flip]."
