Man City won the Champions League on Saturday night, beating Inter Milan 1-0 in Istanbul. In doing so, they secured themselves a record-equalling treble, having won the Premier League and FA Cup already this season.
Erling Haaland, scorer of 52 goals this season, went a fifth straight match without finding the net, but City still had enough to edge out opponents who had never been expected to get this far in the first place.
Rodri squared away the Bernardo Silva cutback midway through the second half, which was enough to see the English side over the line.
Even after the final whistle blew, the job was not over for Haaland, who spoke to various news teams after the trophy presentation and celebrations.
Speaking to 'CBS Sports', he admitted he was "really nervous" before the match and recognised the pressure of the match. "Everyone knew it was a big game, we could win the treble", he added.
He declared it was also "such a relief" to win it and secure the treble, thus living up to the all the attention that had followed him since his arrival at Man City last summer.
It was a very emotional moment for the young Norwegian who had always "dreamt of winning the Champions League" and he admitted that he didn't remember the last time he'd cried as much as he did when the final whistle blew
He followed up this interview with another with 'BT Sport', and discussed what comes next for him.
"I think after a couple days when this settles a bit, this feeling of winning this trophy I want to do it again for sure. I know this is how I will think", he stated "We have to defend what we won this season. In a month or two everything is forgotten, that's life".
Despite breaking records in his debut Premier League season, the striker has no plans to slow down.
"I can improve a lot," Haaland said. "On a good day I could have scored two goals but really don't care about that right now, in finals it is about winning you all know that, about getting the trophy".
He was full of praise for his coach Pep Guardiola, who he is very grateful to for his help this season: "He [Guardiola] is really emotional, in such a big game, the pressure is unbelievable".
"To work for him is really special, we have a really good relationship, he helps me a lot and next season I am looking forward to improving more. To get trained by the best coach in the world every day is a good place to be", he finished.
