Ahead of what could be a decisive game in the Bundesliga, with the tie being so evenly matched, Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer praised the quality of Jamal Musiala.
“I have to say that we adore him. Extending his contract has become a matter of state. He is a once-in-100-years kind of player, and of course our main goal is to keep him at Bayern for the long term,” said Heiner in a meeting with the media.
The Bavarian club, which faces Xabi Alonso's Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday, is aware that Musiala's contract expires in 2026 and wants to renew it now.
One of the big names in the game is Florian Wirtz, who has been linked with Bayern: “Everyone knows that he is a really good player, but I will not comment any more on a Leverkusen player.
“For a long, long time this season we have been the hunters and not the hunted. But lately we have been playing brilliantly, scoring 20 goals in 3 games. Our goal is to beat Leverkusen and increase the gap to six points,” he added.
