There are only three games left in the Premier League for the 2023/24 season and the relegation battle is hotter than ever. Nottingham Forest are the team leading the race to stay in the English top flight for another season as they are one point ahead of chasing Luton Town and two ahead of Burnley. Even so, all three teams have a chance of securing a 17th-place finish with nine points still up for grabs and some of these teams have direct fixtures against each other. Meanwhile, Sheffield United have lost their relegation hopes, although they have a game against Nottingham which could prove decisive in the relegation battle. BeSoccer looks at where each of the teams in the relegation zone and how their run-ins compare.
Forest at first sight are the team with the best chance of staying in the Premier League next season as they are one point clear of 18th and two points clear of 19th. However, Nuno Espiritu Santo's side are on a poor run of form, having won just one of their last five games and have three tough games in hand. The City Ground side face a relegated Sheffield United side looking to end their season on a high in the league, a Chelsea side looking to secure a place in Europe next season and a final game against Burnley that could decide the relegation battle.

Luton Town go into the end of the season with three consecutive Premier League defeats and only one win in their last five games, so the Hatters must win their next games against mid-table Fulham and Everton, who have already secured relegation, and West Ham, who are in the hunt for European places. Edwards' side must win their games and wait to see what Nottingham Forest and Burnley do to secure 17th place.

Burnley go into their last three league games in better shape than their relegation rivals, with three draws and one win in their last five games. However, the Clarets have the toughest of schedules to stay in the English top flight as they face top-of-the-table Newcastle and Tottenham in their next two games. Finally, former Manchester City man Kompany's side face a decisive battle against Nottingham Forest which, if they come within a few points of each other, could be a final to secure the final Premier League relegation place.
