Santi Denia admitted he took "all the stress out of the tournament" in his effusive celebration of Spain's 2-1 comeback win over Morocco that earned his team a place in the final of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
"Let me be happy from time to time, I've also taken out all the stress we've been carrying in this tournament. I was happy for the whole group: players, coaches... They are a family that gets along very well. I was really happy for everyone," he said in the mixed zone.
"We knew it was a team with a good level, you saw that. They had just scored four goals against the United States. They have great players who want to play, they've put out an attacking line-up," he told reporters.
"But we were able to get the better of them and come from behind. Morocco went for the game. They put out a line-up to go for the game. I congratulate them for the line-up they put out. I congratulate the Moroccans for the great job they did," he concluded.
