Former France midfielder Christian Karembeu spoke about Kylian Mbappe and his reported move to Real Madrid ahead of Celta Vigo's centenary commemorative meeting on Wednesday.
The 52-year-old expressed his desire for his compatriot to join Carlo Ancelotti's side. "I don't know anything about his future. It's a question of [Real Madrid president] Florentino Perez but hopefully he can join Madrid to win titles," he told reporters.
Karembeu, who played for the Spanish giants between 1997 and 2000, thinks the Italian manager is "building a great team" and believes they will win several trophies this season.
"The team have started with 3 victories and that is very important for the confidence of the squad," he added.
The Frenchman, who will play with the International All Stars in the Legends match to commemorate Celta Vigo's centenary, avoided commenting on the controversy between Luis Rubiales and Jenni Hermoso because "it's a national issue".
