"I learned Spanish because I knew I was going to play for Madrid"

Kylian Mbappe is already Real Madrid's new star. The French striker gave his first interview to the Spanish club's official media after a massive presentation at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The No.9 confessed the reason for his willingness to learn Spanish: "More or less I speak it. Not perfectly, no. I knew that one day I was going to play here and I wanted to learn Spanish to adapt quickly to the club, the people and the Spanish culture. That's going to help me adapt," he said.
The 25-year-old repeated several times the dream of being a Real Madrid player: "It means a lot to me. I've had this dream for many years, which then became a goal. I wanted to be here and my dream now is to live up to the history of this club, the best in the world. I want to give everything for this shirt."
