Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique Martinez declared himself "a big fan" of Girona coach Michel and considered that the Catalan will be one of the few teams to challenge them for possession of the ball.
"Nobody expected Girona to qualify for the Champions League, I saw almost all the games last season and they were one of the best in Spain, with a very entertaining game to watch. I'm a big fan of Michel," he told reporters at the press conference ahead of their Champions League opener at the Parc des Princes.
"Now they have their reward with their debut in a mythical European stadium (Parc des Princes). I congratulate them," added the Spanish manager.
The PSG coach predicted that the Catalan side are going to be "brave, they are going to attack", as they did in the last league game and warned that they will be "one of the few teams" who will challenge them for possession.
With four wins in as many Ligue 1 games led by goals from Ousmane Dembele and Bradley Barcola, PSG have so far not missed Kylian Mbappe, who left for Real Madrid in June.
