"I would like to play with Mbappe" - Nico Williams snubs Barcelona

Nico Williams is one of the hopes of the Spanish national team at the European Championship. The forward duo he forms with Lamine Yamal could surprise the best defences on the continent and this is something that is well known in the sporting management of some top teams, Barcelona among them. However, their fans have received some bad news: Ernesto Valverde's player at Athletic is looking forward to playing with Kylian Mbappe.
On Wednesday night, he gave an interview to 'El Partidazo' on the 'COPE' channel in which he answered the question of who he would like to play with on the pitch. "With Mbappe," he replied. However, this does not mean that he would like to join Real Madrid, even though he is the most likely option, given that the French striker has just signed a contract with the 'Merengues'.
In fact, the Spain international has no plans to leave the San Mames outfit: "I'm very happy at Athletic, it's the club that has given me everything. It's the club that has backed me 100%. I'm very happy in Bilbao and that's what I have to say. Am I sure where I will play next season? Yes, it's quite clear to me. Athletic is my home, I'm very happy; now, what I want to do is focus on the European Championship," he insisted.
"If you're not 100 per cent in a competition like this, you'll be overrun. The rest, I don't know what's going to happen. I'm a person who has to be focused on one thing. I don't like to think about things that are not relevant at the moment and I've told my agent that I don't want to know anything until the Euro is over," he added.
