Ryan Babel gave his compatriot Frenkie de Jong some adivce. The former Dutch international told him that going to Man Utd would be "a step back" in comparison with Barcelona.

Frenkie de Jong was one of the players who was on the way out last summer. Man Utd were interested in the Dutchman, but he finally stayed at Barcelona.
It is less than a month until the transfer window opens and the option of the midfielder moving to Old Trafford is back on the table. However, his compatriot Ryan Babel does not recommend that.
"I would not recommend Man Utd, in all honesty. At least not today. He needs a team that wants to play football, proper football on the ground."
Despite the fact that Babel admitted that Man Utd "have a suitable coach that can do that. Until now, they have shown signs, but it is not the level that has shown at Ajax."
"For Frenkie, if he goes from Barcelona to Man Utd, it would be a step back. I'd rather see him at a team like Man City or even at Arsenal," Babel concluded.
