Inaki Pena to renew with Barca imminently

Barcelona are making steps forward to try and resolve all the open cases that they'll have to solve ahead of the transfer window. With that in mind, Inaki Pena will continue to be the second keeper until 2026.
'Mundo Dpoertivo' reported on Tuesday that an official announcement of him staying will be made this very Tuesday, because the goalkeeper and the club already came to the agreement to stay working together a few weeks ago.
The source claim that for different reasons there was a delay, but they say the moment has finally arrived. Fabrizio Romano, a prominent figure in the transfer window, also confirmed the goalkeeper's imminent renewal.
What's more, it must be said that the Madrid-based newspaper revealed that Ter Stegen's back-up had some doubts over staying. They claimed that they doubts grew when Xavi chose the German first choice shot-stopper over him in the Copa del Rey game vs Real Sociedad.
It was the managerial team who insisted and he has finally ended up staying. So far this season, Inaki Pena has played three games, winning them all but conceding five goals in total.
