Kylian Mbappe, who scored one of the goals in Madrid's win over Stuttgart, said he was "happy" with the victory over the German side in their European opener and assured that it is "negative to say" that he only came to Real Madrid to win the Champions League, because "there is much more".
The player from Bondy played his first game in European competition with the 'Merengues' at the Santiago Bernabeu.
"It was a great night. We wanted to start with a win and it was a difficult match. It's important to win the first games, the Champions League has changed and you have to win quickly. They played well and we had problems playing and getting the ball out from the back in the first half. In the second half we had chances to score, we pressed, we played well and we scored," said Mbappe, speaking to 'Movistar Liga de Campeones'.
"I can score more. Every game I feel better and I know I will score more," said Mbappe, who claimed that every time you play for Madrid, you have to fight to "win any title".
"It's negative to say that I came here just to win the Champions League. Every game we try to win, we did it against Stuttgart and we'll see about the next one," he said.
Mbappe also spoke about his team-mate Endrick, who scored the third to round off the win in stoppage time.
"The most important thing is the way he scored the goal. It is difficult to reach Europe, but he had one minute before the end of the game and he scored a goal," he finished.
