After AC Milan lost to Feyenoord on aggregate in the play-off round, Joao Felix expressed his displeasure at the team's early elimination from the Champions League.
After joining Milan in January, the Chelsea striker on loan had hoped for a prolonged stay in Europe's top competition. "I wanted so much to play in the Champions League for Milan, but I only got to experience two games," Felix lamented in a post-match interview.
The 24-year-old acknowledged the harsh realities of football, stating, "This is football, we all need to learn, whether we are young or old". Despite the disappointment, Felix remains focused on Milan's remaining objectives for the season.
"Now we have the Coppa Italia, we are in the semi-finals. Then we have the league and the goal is to finish in the top four," he explained, outlining how the team could still salvage their campaign.
Felix's comments reflect the broader disappointment within the Milan camp, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic suggesting the team had "killed themselves" in the tie.
