Juanlu fulfils 'one of his dreams' with Spain

Spain full-back Juanlu Sanchez described his debut for Spain at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games as "a dream" in a match against the Dominican Republic that ended in a 3-1 win for his national team.
"I was prepared in case the opportunity arose. I have to be grateful to have this opportunity. Playing in the Olympics is a dream and I have tried to give my all. The important thing is that we got the win," he told reporters.
"We have a great squad, you can see that from day one. That's very important for those of us who come into the team," he added.
Juanlu Sanchez said Spain must maintain the "same attitude of continuing to win" in the final group game against Egypt, despite being assured of a place in the quarter-finals. The idea is to arrive in "the best possible shape".
