Argentina's players won many The Best awards as they won the World Cup in Qatar. This fact has given a lot to talk about.
Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos and his brother Felix spoke about the FIFA The Best awards in a podcast they have together and gave their opinion on the awarded players: "The World Cup is always an important tournament in this kind of event. He was an outstanding player in Qatar. It was no surprise," Toni Kroos said.
However, his brother harshly criticised the winners: "He's the best player of the World Cup, but it's still a whole year. I didn't think he was 'outstanding' enough to win the award," Felix Kroos added.
"I thought it was a joke that Argentina's goalkeeper received the best goalkeeper award. Nobody knew him before the World Cup. He made one or two good saves but he wasn't the best goalkeeper," Felix said on Emiliano Martinez.
