Real Madrid youth player and current Valencia player Peter Federico received racist insults on social media after the match between the two teams this weekend at Mestalla. Ruben Baraja's player even had to deactivate the comments on his profiles to avoid reading so much disrespect. La Liga spoke out to condemn the attitude of a certain sector of the fans.

La Liga said on Monday that it "condemns the discriminatory comments" made on social media against Valencia player Peter Federico after last Saturday's match against Real Madrid.
In a message posted on its official account, La Liga said it "shows its support" for the player and the Valencia club itself and said it would continue to "work together to eradicate such behaviour from our football".
Valencia denounced, on Sunday, the "inadmissible comments fomenting hatred" that the Spanish-Dominican attacker Peter Federico received in the last few hours, who closed his comments on Instagram after receiving racist insults from fans of his parent club Real Madrid.
"Don't bite the hand that feeds you, you should have gone on a boat", "if it hadn't been for Madrid, you would have been handing out food" or "what can you expect from someone from a country like the Dominican Republic (sic)" are some of the racist comments that the Valencia winger received on his Instagram account in the last few hours, which led him to close the comments on his account.
The player joined Valencia on 31st January from Real Madrid on loan with an option to buy and played several minutes in the second half of the match between his new team and Real Madrid, in a game in which he even had a couple of chances to give his side the victory.
