The Valencian Community is trying to cope as best it can after the devastating effects of the DANA, which has completely devastated 70 municipalities and has so far claimed 211 lives.
The whole football world is with the Valencian people and the teams of the territory are still very involved in the restoration areas, as in the case of Valencia and Levante, which belong to the area of the capital of the Turia.
As a result of their support for the victims, both teams asked for a further postponement of their upcoming matches. La Liga accepted the two teams' request and their respective away games against Espanyol and Tenerife, respectively, have been postponed.
There is no confirmed date, although ‘Mundo Deportivo’ has dared to give some possible dates for both matches. The Espanyol-Valencia match, initially scheduled for Saturday 9th November, could be played the week of 11th or 17th December. These are the same options for Tenerife-Levante, which was originally scheduled for Sunday 10th November.
This is the second game postponed for Ruben Baraja's side, the first being Madrid at Mestalla. In the case of the ‘Granotas’ it is the third after Malaga and Pontevedra, the latter being set for 19th November (Copa del Rey).
