Sunday's derby between Sevilla and Betis will have consequences that go beyond the three points for the home side. The La Liga Referees Committee is going to denounce Diego Llorente, reported 'COPE'.
He was the centre-back involved in the handball that resulted in a penalty. That penalty was converted by Sevilla to take all three points. Llorente accused referee Martinez Munuera of lying after the game.
"The referee was wrong about the penalty. I've just seen the images and I don't understand anything. I have my hands down, he says I have them open, and at no time do I have my hands horizontal. Here we work like b*stards all week so that the weekend arrives and there are referees who, it's not just that they can reason with you or not, but that on top of that they lie to your face," said Diego Llorente to the reporters.
