Barcelona did not stop until they signed Robert Lewandowski. Although Bayern were initially against his departure, they finally opened the door for him in order to leave the team.
The Spanish club paid 45 million for the player but they could have to pay a further five million if he achieves certain targets. According to 'Bild', both clubs included a clause whereby the Catalan side would pay more if Lewandowski scored 25 goals.
According to the same media outlet, Barcelona will have to pay 1.25 million euros if the Polish striker scores 25 goals in any competition and he has already netted 16 goals and provided four assists.
But the 1.25 million euros is not just limited to this current season. According to 'Bild', when Lewandowski exceeds the 25 goals anytime from now until the end of his Barcelona contract, they would have to pay 1.25 million euros to the German club.
Altogether, Lewandowski signed for three seasons with Barca and he has the option of another. If he scores more than 25 goals in every season, the Spanish team will have to pay a bonus of 3.75 million euros, which would be five million if he does the same in the optional fourth season.
Lewandowski left Bayern but he has a good relationship with the club. So much so that the footballer visited the opposition's dressing room to talk to his former teammates after the Champions League clash against Bayern.
