The Argentinian midfielder, now a key figure at Liverpool under Arne Slot's management, admits that the league has always appealed to him.
"Yes, why not? It's a country I like a lot and I've visited it several times, and, above all, because of the language and the culture, it's very similar to Argentina. I would definitely like to play in Spain one day," he told Spanish outlet AS. However, he has no plans to leave Anfield in the short term.
"I'm very comfortable at Liverpool and I don't think about what might happen in the future," Mac Allister added. Under Arne Slot's leadership, Liverpool are enjoying a fresh tactical approach this season, and the No.10 has been pivotal in adapting to the coach's vision.
The 25-year-old also spoke briefly about the differences between coaches Jurgen Klopp and Arne Slot. "The biggest difference, or what we have added, has been patience when we have the ball. That's the biggest difference at the moment. Now, we have more of the ball, which allows us to generate more goal-scoring chances.
"The team feels very comfortable and is doing very well, as we saw against Real Madrid in the Champions League and against Manchester City in the Premier League. That gives you more confidence and makes us see that we can compete against any team," he concluded.
