Liverpool dominated the Merseyside derby from the start creating dangerous counter-attacks for the Toffees. The game turned on its head for the Reds in the 36th minute when Young was sent off for a second yellow. Sean Dyche's side struggled in the second half but held Liverpool until the 75th minute when they took the lead from the penalty spot when Salah scored after the referee pointed to a handball by Keane in the box. Salah scored Liverpool's second after a counter-attack in which Darwin Nunez fed the Egyptian inside the box and he beat Pickford again. Salah's brace gives Klopp's side their sixth win of the season and moves Liverpool on to 20 points.
