Andy Robertson suffered a shoulder injury while on international duty with Scotland. The defender had to be substituted after a collision with goallkeeper Unai Simon in Scotland's 2-0 Euro 2024 qualifier defeat to Spain.
According to the Mirror, the Scotland international has been pictured wearing a sling as fears grow that the Liverpool star could be sidelined for the remainder of the year.
"As always with injured players, we send them back to their club; Andy's gone back to Liverpool. Liverpool will deal with his injury. Obviously, it's a shoulder issue and Liverpool will deal with it. If he's fit for next month, it's great. If he's not fit for next month then hopefully he'll be fit as soon as possible for his club," the Scotland national team manager explained.
The left-back returned to Merseyside to be assessed by Liverpool's medical staff. Whether Robertson is ruled out for an extended period or not, manager Klopp will need to find a replacement and is likely to turn to deputy left-back Kostas Tsimikas. Joe Gomez could also slot in on the left side of the Reds' defence, youth player Chambers is another option to cover for Robertson.
