Lukaku, no place at Chelsea, no destination
Romelu Lukaku has no place at Chelsea, nor can he find a place at another club. With just eight days to go until the close of the transfer window, he has been left in a dangerous situation for his future.

Chelsea have eight days to get rid of Romelu Lukaku once and for all. The Belgian striker does not count for Mauricio Pochettino and the Blues are working to find a way out of the summer transfer window.
Only Juventus have shown any real interest in signing Lukaku in recent days, but his signing would depend on Dusan Vlahovic leaving the Italian club.
According to the British newspaper 'The Telegraph', a possible swap deal between the two players, with Chelsea paying Juventus, is not out of the question.
The option of reintegrating him into the squad, after Chelsea failed to win either of their first two games and suffered from the lack of a '9', is ruled out because Lukaku does not train with the first team, but with the reserve team, and has not spoken to Pochettino.
Lukaku's Chelsea career ended in the 2021-2022 season, when the Blues paid more than 100 million for him and in the 44 games he played he only scored 15 goals. This led to a year's loan spell at Inter Milan, where his numbers improved, but Inter were unwilling to sign him, resulting in Lukaku's return to London this summer.
The 30-year-old Belgian turned down an offer to move to Saudi Arabia and with eight days to go until the close of the transfer window, his options are limited. Still under contract until June 2026, Chelsea want to get rid of one of the team's most important players as soon as possible.
