Real Madrid's goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has sent a message of suppport to his teammate Eder Militao after it was confirmed the Brazilian had torn the ACL in his left knee in Madrid's opener against Bilbao on Saturday.
"Stay strong, my friend! We will fight together", wrote Courtois in an Instagram story, using the same touching photo the defender used to wish the Belgian a speedy recovery following his own ACL rupture.
Courtois' message follows similar ones that Madrid players have been sending on Sunday to the Brazilian. "My friend ... we're together. Sending you strength and courage, we hope to see you again soon on the pitch with us. We'll miss you for a while, but you'll be back stronger. I love you, brother", wrote Dani Ceballos.
"Stay strong, Mili. You'll be having fun with us again soon. We're with you", wrote his captain, Nacho Fernandez. Brazil teammate Rodrygo Goes sent a message reading, "Stay strong brother, we'll always be with you" and French international Aurelien Tchouameni sent a brief, but efficient message once the injury was confirmed: "sh*t".
Another Brazilian teammate, Vinicius Jr, sent him kind words as well: "God is aware of all things. May you come back better than before. Focus on recovery. love you!" he wrote. "Speedy recovery, Mili. We love you very much," posted Uruguayan Fede Valverde.
Also a former teammate like Sergio Ramos, former Real Madrid captain who is currently without a team, had some affectionate words for Militao on his social networks. "It's an injustice, but you'll come back stronger. I send you all the energy and encouragement, my friend," he wrote.
