The Spanish giants are set to face La Liga leaders Girona on Saturday at the Montilivi stadium for their eighth La Liga matchday eight fixture. Real Madrid announced their squad list on Friday and David Alaba was the biggest absence from the squad.
The Austrian was unable to train on Friday morning in the last session before the match due to a muscle injury. As a result, Italian manager Carlo Ancelotti has decided to count on one of the gems of the Madrid academy.
Alvaro Carrillo, who has not had many opportunities in the first team, has been called up by Ancelotti for Saturday's game. The 21-year-old has already shown his skills in several academy matches but is also ready to show them in the Spanish top flight.
Goalkeepers: Lunin, Kepa, Pineiro
Defenders: Carrillo, Carvajal, Nacho, Lucas V, Fran Garcia, Ruediger, Mendy
Midfielders: Bellingham, Kroos, Modric, Camavinga, Valverde, Tchouameni, Ceballos
Forwards: Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo, Joselu and Brahim
