Carlo Ancelotti has announced that 18-year-old Turkish midfielder Arda Guler, who has yet to make his debut for his new team after suffering two injuries, will be called up for the first time against Rayo Vallecano.
"Guler started training with the team this week, he has recovered, he is missing playing time and he will be in the squad list," said Ancelotti at a press conference.
Guler injured the medial meniscus in his right knee during pre-season and had to undergo arthroscopic surgery after the conservative plan initially adopted did not work. He then suffered a muscle injury at the end of September on his way back onto the pitch.
The Italian coach also confirmed that he will be rotating his players tomorrow evening: "There will be rotations in the next three matches. The priority is to win on Sunday. After that, we'll see. Now is the time to make a statement.
