On Monday, Real Madrid had their last training session before hosting Manchester City in the Champions League semi-final first leg. Those who started the Copa del Rey against Osasuna were back in a session which Ancelotti took in the afternoon in order to get the most recovery time possible.
After starting in the gym, the squad took to their training pitches without Militao. Ancelotti used the fact he's out of the first leg so that the Brazilian could rest up and enjoy the day off.
Only Mendy and Ceballos were forced to stay inside, who have both been ruled out. The former due to a long-running injury keeping him out for some time, while the latter picked up ahead of the Copa del Rey final.
The rest of the Madrid side completed a light session, with a warm-up and rondos, all of which was available to see for the press.
It was used by Ancelotti to see close-up the physical state of his men and to take the final decisions of a starting XI, although he did already confirm Luka Modric will be starting.
