Madrid want to make Rodri their star signing for 2025/26 season

The 2024/25 season has only just begun, but some teams are looking ahead to next season. Real Madrid, for example, are finalising the signings to be made next summer. According to 'AS', they have set their sights on Rodrigo Hernandez in midfield as the big signing Los Blancos will be fighting for in 2025.
The player has a contract with Manchester City until 2027 and, according to the aforementioned source, the English side are already working to offer him a lucrative renewal that would put him on a higher wage scale, even close to Erling Haaland.
Rodri does not rule out signing a new contract with City, where he is comfortable. He would only leave the Etihad Stadium to join Real Madrid if an interesting offer arrives for him as a professional.
Until the end of the season 2024/25, Real Madrid do not intend to move for him. The team presided by Florentino Perez are aware of Rodrigo's level and also of his price, as his signing could cost them more than 100 million euros.
