Silvio Berlusconi, former Italian Prime Minister and owner of AC Milan from 1986 to 2017, passed away on Monday at the age of 86.
There have been many hommages for the former head of state, including that of Carlo Ancelotti, who saw first-hand Milan's development, as a player there between 1987 and 1992 and then further as a manager between 2001 and 2009.
The now-Madrid coach paid tribute to Berlusconi through a lovely message on Twitter:
"Today's sadness does not erase the happy moments that we have had together. What remains is infinite gratitude to the president, but above all to an ironic, loyal, intelligent, sincere man, fundamental to my adventure first as a player, then as a coach. Thank you, Mr. Chairman."
