Real Madrid's director of institutional relations Emilio Butragueno, assured that, despite the departures of players such as Benzema, Asensio and Hazard, Real Madrid will have "a competitive squad" next season "to fight for all the titles".
"The club is going to start preparing for next season with the greatest enthusiasm. I'm sure we're going to have a competitive squad to fight for all the titles," he said on 'Real Madrid TV'.
"It has been a day of farewells. The four who are leaving (Benzema, Asensio, Hazard and Mariano) have helped us in an extraordinary period for the club, in a glorious era. Everything in life has an end, but we have to thank them and the whole squad because they have given everything to achieve the objectives and dignify what Real Madrid means," he commented.
Butragueno recalled his team's successes this season: "We have won three titles (European Super Cup, Club World Cup and Copa del Rey) and these players have won everything in the last two seasons. We have to value what we have achieved".
