Madueke finds consolation in goal after Man City defeat
Noni Madueke said his goal in the defeat to Manchester City was a small consolation but it is not as pleasant a feeling as when you win.

Noni Madueke opened the scoring at the Etihad Stadium against Manchester City after capitalising on a mistake by Guardiola's new signing Khusanov. But the home side reacted to turn the scoreline around to make it 3-1 to the Sky Blues.
"We press every game, it’s when we are at our best, that’s what we did and got the first goal. But scoring goals when you lose, it’s not really a great feeling like when we win," claimed Madueke after the game in Manchester.
"It’s a very disappointing result. It feels hard, for sure. We went there to try and win the game and it wasn’t to be, but I think the manner in which we lost it was difficult to take," he added.
However, Madueke and his Blues team-mates will look to put that 2025 Premier League defeat behind them and will focus on making amends by getting back to winning ways when they welcome West Ham United to Stamford Bridge next week.
"We’ve got another game against West Ham at the Bridge, so we’ll try and get three points and bounce back."
