Florian Wirtz knows that his name will be on the lips of many clubs next summer. After missing the World Cup in Qatar with a hamstring injury, the Bayer Leverkusen player has been linked with a new club for the 2023-24 season.
Despite Barcelona asking for time to work on his transfer, Manchester City are very interested in landing him. Cityzens' coach Pep Guardiola believes that his profile would fit perfectly into his scheme, according to 'Mundo Deportivo'.
Nevertheless, the German's arrival in Manchester is not an easy one, and even less cheap. The playmaker is one of the best players in the squad led by Xabi Alonso and the German club will only listen to offers of 70 million euros or more.
Furthermore, according to Sport, Wirtz has given Barca the go-ahead to join La Liga in two seasons' time, as the player still wants to continue his development in the Bundesliga before making the big leap.
