Andre Onana has become a very hot prospect this summer. He has garnered attention after helping Inter Milan to defend their Coppa Italia and reach the Champions League final, where they were defeated by Man City.
The keeper has received interest from Premier League team, Chelsea, and the London club have been in talks with Inter, regarding Onana and a possible deal for Chelsea's Romelu Lukaku and Kalidou Koulibaly. No deal has been agreed however.
And now it appears Man United are entering the race, according to 'The Guardian'. The newspaper reports that United are weighing up their options about where to spend big this summer, as they are also in need of midfield reinforcements and a '9' up front.
But their keeper, David De Gea is out of contract this summer, and is yet to sign to renew. Despite manager Erik ten Hag publicly backing his goalie, De Gea is quite unpopular with large sections of the fans and may decide on a move. So the Red Devils are thinking carefully about a replacement, and Onana joins Porto's Diogo Costa on the shortlist for this summer.
Inter might not be keen to sell their star keeper after just a season, but the club's financial problems may force them into a sale. They want big money for him though, and have already rejected a €40 million bid from Chelsea.
