Man United overtake Barca in race for Frimpong

FC Barcelona, as well as other positions, are looking for a left back for the future. It's not their priority for the 2023-24 season, but the side are following several players for the role in order to go for him when the chance arises.
On the 'Cules' list are several names, including Frimpong. Barca are thought to be interested in the Bayer Leverkusen defender, but they're not the only ones. United and Bayern are also following him.
'Bild' are claiming that the Red Devils are better positioned than Barca to get the full-back due to their healthier bank balance.
Barca still don't know how many players they'll be able to sign this summer due to the financial fair play rules. It'll all depend on who comes and goes. It's certainly a pain when it comes to getting in new players.
United are already drawing up a plan to get Frimpong to Old Trafford. Ten Hag likes the look of the player, and he's asked the board explicitly to get him to Manchester.
Bayer Leverkusen, however, are not going to be giving him away. The side wanting him will have to pay €30 million, making it hard for Barca to pay that sort of money.
