According to several sources in England and France, Manchester United and Lille have already agreed on a transfer fee and the English club is negotiating with the player's agents the salary that Leny Yoro would receive at Old Trafford. The centreback's arrival at Real Madrid is becoming more and more distant.

Leny Yoro, one of Real Madrid's big targets for the 2024-25 season, is distancing himself from the club. In England, there is already talk of a firm offer from Manchester United to Lille that has been accepted and, for the first time, the English club is already negotiating with the player's agents.
The amount of the operation that could take the 18-year-old to Old Trafford would be 50 million euros fixed plus 12 million euros in variables. The ‘Merengues’ were willing to pay around 40 million euros, but were more inclined to wait until the end of the player's contract with Lille in 2025.
In this context, the Ligue 1 club has been more in favour of selling the French player to the English club for several weeks, but until now the centre-back has shown more interest in joining the reigning European champions. According to ‘The Guardian’, in any case, Yoro's agents are already in talks with the Red Devils given the difficulty that would entail closing a deal under these conditions with Real Madrid.
In France, the journalist Nabil Djellit confirmed this offer and suggested that the operation has become quite complicated for the ‘Merengue’ team: "Lille have accepted the offer and Leny Yoro is already negotiating with Manchester United about the salary conditions. The trend is favourable and the door is open to the English team.
"The big difference now is that Manchester United's offer is being considered by the player. Lille hope to close the deal with the Red Devils. It's pure economic logic," continued the French journalist.
After being approached by Jarrad Branthwaite, Matthijs de Ligt and even Jean-Clair Todibo, Leny Yoro looks like he could be Manchester United's first big signing in defence. In return, the British side have cashed in on the departures of Willy Kambwala to Villarreal, Donny van de Beek to Girona and Alvaro Fernandez to Benfica.
