"Mane fell short of expectations": Tuchel
Bayern Munich's manager did not try to spare Sadio Mane's feelings when speaking to 'Sport1' about the Senegalese winger, who has had a Bundesliga season full of ups and downs. Although he was a Liverpool mainstay, his manager feels he "fell short of expectations" with the German champions.

The Bundesliga has been a tricky adjustment for former Liverpool star, Sadio Mane. Despite winning the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich for the club's 11th straight title, he has had a season disrupted by injuries, inconsistent performances and a row with teammate Leroy Sane.
The winger has been so underwhelming that the Bavarians are looking to sell him for around €20 million, after paying the Reds €32 million for his services just last summer. His manager, Thomas Tuchel, has no complaints regarding this plan, and he made his feelings about the Sengalese international clear when talking to 'Sport1'.
"He fell short of expectations", he began simply. "The competitive situation is extremely high, the starting position is not easy for him. The player knows that too, he knows my opinion and the opinion of the club".
Bayern are the favourites to sign Tottenham star, Harry Kane, although the English club have put a huge asking price on his head, already rejecting a bid of £70 million from the Germans for their skipper.
