Polish referee Szymon Marciniak has been chosen by UEFA to be the man in the middle for this Wednesday's Champions League semi-final second leg between Manchester City and Real Madrid.
This will be his seventh game in the competition, after refereeing Atletico Madrid-Porto (2-1), Barcelona-Inter Milan (3-3), Dynamo Zagreb-AC Milan (0-4), Marseille-Tottenham (1-2), Porto-Inter Milan (0-0) and Napoli-AC Milan (1-1).
Marciniak will be accompanied with linesmen fellow Poles Pawel Sokolnicki and Tomasz Listkiewic, with the fourth official being Romanian Istvan Kovacs. Those in charge of the VAR are also Polish, with Tomasz Kwiatkowski and Bartosz Frankowski being the chosen ones.
Manchester City and Real Madrid go head-to-head at the Etihad Stadium after drawing 1-1 in the first leg at the Santiago Bernabeu. The winner will book their ticket to the Champions League final.
