Kylian Mbappe, after winning the French Super Cup with Paris Saint-Germain, said he has not yet made a decision on whether he wants to renew his contract with the French capital club. Real Madrid will once again be his main suitors in the coming months, especially now that Carlo Ancelotti's squad, which has been renewed until 2026, is lacking a centre-forward of reference.

Kylian Mbappe has a special ability to leave his future open, to keep suspense about his intentions and to fuel speculation, which puts him permanently in the spotlight. The French striker once again fuelled rumours of an exit from PSG with his words after winning the French Super Cup.
Mbappe, in one of his few appearances in front of the press, assured that he has not decided on his next club and that all options are on the table. The French striker sent a message of patience. "I haven't made any decision on my future. I didn't make a choice. Nobody at the club is talking about my situation.... If I knew what I wanted to do, I should not drag things out. That would make no sense", the player told reporters.
From these words, it is understood that the striker, who, since 1 January, has been free to negotiate with any club, wants to keep all fronts open, including that of a new extension to his contract, which, at 25 years of age, may already be definitive. At the beginning of this season, when he informed the club of his intention not to make effective the additional year signed in 2022, the positions of the player and the club seemed irreconcilable. The president, Nasser Al Khelaifi, removed him from the first team and gave him an ultimatum: either renewal or immediate departure.
Mbappe took the punishment and reached an agreement with the club, details of which have not been released, but with which both parties seem satisfied. "With the agreement the president and I reached this summer, whatever I decide, the club is protected ahead of the challenges to come, that is the most important thing," said the French player.
Al Khelaifi seems to have maintained his objective of bringing in money should Mbappe decide to leave and the player now has his hands freer than ever to achieve one of his goals: to make a lasting impression on PSG's history.
