Mbappe tried to sign De Jong for PSG

Last summer, 'Le Parisien' wrote a story about how Mbappe met up with Robert Lewandowski to try, and fail, to convince him to move to Ligue 1.
This same source released something similar about Frenkie de Jong. The French star pressured the Dutch international at the start of 2019 into going to PSG and to ignore the offer Barca made him.
The well-known French newspaper also added that Mbappe told De Jong not to rush making his mind up, as he was thinking about going to Barcelona.
The ex-Ajax man ended up at Barcelona instead of Paris and became a new Barca recruit.
