Mbappe will return to France squad in March, confirms Deschamps

Kylian Mbappe is set to return to international duty with France for the upcoming break in March. The confirmation arrived from 'Les Blues' head coach Didier Deschamps, who said that the Real Madrid striker "will be part of the squad" as he spoke to 'L'Equipe'.
Mbappe's loyalty and commitment to the French national team was put under scrutiny after he missed out on both the October and November international breaks, with Deschamps fuelling speculations as he refused to answer questions on the captain's absence.
The 25-year-old featured on 'Canal+' just a couple of months ago to clear the situation as he revealed: "In September, I asked the coach not to go. I had just arrived in Madrid. The coach insisted that I go. After October, I got injured. The coach told me it was better not to call me up. I wanted to go, but I can't say why they didn't call me."
But it seems now that the two are ready to put the drama past their shoulders and start over from zero. Deschamps, who has announced he will resign from France after the 2026 World Cup, will have Mbappe available in the squad for the quarter-final tie against Croatia on March 20 and 23 in the Nations League.
